Grahan Cooley, Managing Editor

00971rIn addition to his duties of running The Hotspotter, Grahan heads the marketing and legal efforts of the start up company http://namet.ag. He most recently founded DivorceNotes, an interactive journal for individuals underway in divorce proceedings. Prior to that, Grahan was the managing editor of American Lawyer Media’s VerdictSearch magazines in California and New Jersey. He oversaw the collection, reporting, design and distribution of those magazines to subscribers and managed its corporate partnership obligations with Thomson/WestLaw.

Grahan is a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law and spent the first year after law school organizing the formation of his family’s business, McBeth Vineyards, which he launched and managed through its first year. He then moved to the New York metro area taking a job with the law firm of Ansetti and Cellino, specializing in residential real estate transactions in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Prior to law school, Mr. Cooley earned his bachelor’s degree from Portland State University, worked in advertising at CNN in Los Angles and served four years in the U.S. Navy onboard the fast-attack submarine, USS Helena.

However, his true passion is enabling the mobile worker with better technology. After having spent a year travelling between jobs in San Francisco and Seattle, he developed a plan to roll out a suite of hyper user-friendly business tools that would completely eliminate the need for anything but a mobile phone and netbook. That plan starts with his most recent startup technology company, http://namet.ag.

Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He presently is engaged with Microsoft’s Windows Azure marketing team, consulting on their early adoption program as well as providing editorial services on the marketing website http://windowsazure.com, Scott served in the United States Naval Submarine Service aboard the USS Helena as the ship’s Assistant Intelligence Officer.
